Job Summary
The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of clinical staff to assure exceptional patient care and regulatory compliance at Skagit Regional Clinics.
Essential Functions
Coordinate the clinical activities of assigned staff to ensure compliance with key performance indicators. Collaborates with key stakeholders to establish key performance indicators for each functional area. Assesses clinical workflows; identifies and implements best practices that promote standardization throughout the organization. Regularly monitors productivity and quality in each area to ensure compliance. Provides workflow and production reporting to key stakeholders in an accurate and timely manner. Prioritize functions to meet performance measures. Monitors and adjusts workflow to ensure compliance. Promotes flow of patients and information across departments and the organization.Supervise assigned staff in collaboration with Manager/Director and Human Resources. Responsible for the effective hiring, orientation and training of assigned staff. Performance management including coaching, performance improvement, evaluations and terminations in accordance with organizational and departmental guidelines and policies. May be responsible for completing and/or contributing to performance evaluations in an accurate and timely manner. Schedules staff at levels that are adequate to meet organizational and departmental standards. Accurately manages staff time card(s) utilizing the electronic time keeping system in accordance with organizational and departmental policies and procedures. Approves time cards in a timely manner. Ensures assigned staff function within, and up to, the scope of practice as allowed by licensure/certification.
Assists MAs to complete assigned clinical competencies. Provides real time or just in time training and clinical guidance as needed.Collaborates with Providers on activities and projects related to direct patient care and participates in provider department meetings.Functions clinically at the highest level within RN scope of practice. Serves as professional role model for all departmental staff. Serves as an Electronic Health Record super user. Provides direct patient care on a limited and emergent basis only to ensure safe and efficient patient care. Oversees management of department medication stocks and monitors compliance with medication administration Attends all mandatory meetings and in services provided; broadens professional knowledge including outside education specific to specialty area(s). Responds to Emergency Code calls.Participates in departmental LEAN projects, compliance audits and quality monitors.Collaborates with key stakeholders to ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance and readiness.Collaborates with community health organizations and health care providers across the organization.Complies with all Skagit Regional Health policies and procedures, Universal Attributes and Service Standards.Performs other duties as assigned or requested by Manager/Director or designee.
Education Graduate of an accredited RN program required. BSN preferred.

Desired Job Experience Minimum of two (2) years of previous clinical supervisory experience is required.
License/Certification Current Washington State RN license and American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS required.
Other Qualifications Must possess the ability to work independently as well as with small and large groups of professionals. Excellent interpersonal communication skills; strong organizational skills; clinical proficiency is required. Competent in the use of technology including Microsoft Office and an electronic health record. Demonstrates proficiency with common medical procedures. Maintains working knowledge of medications frequently prescribed in the department(s).
