Rude Brits Cutoff Adele During Thank You Speech | The News Burner

Soulful singer Adele was in the middle of saying how proud she was to be British and to be at the British Music Awards and the rude bastards cut her off. Adele then promptly flipped them the bird and left the stage.

In accepting the Best Album award, Adele started her speech by saying, "Nothing makes me prouder than coming home with six Grammys and then coming to the Brits to win Album Of The Year. I'm so, so proud to be British and to be flying the British flag and I'm so proud to be in the room with all of you."

It was at that point that host James Corden cut her off, bashfully saying, "I'm so so sorry, and I can't believe I'm going to do this … " Adele then calmly said, "You're going to cut me off. Can I just say, then, goodbye and I'll see you next time round?" Then she raised the middle finger of her right hand.

"Sorry if I offended anyone, but the people in suits offended me," Adele said after the show, The Mirror of London reported. "I wasn't swearing at the fans, but I didn't get to complete my thank-you speech!"

And Adele is 100 percent right. Are they kidding? She just won six Grammys and is the biggest music sensation on the planet and they cut her off to go to a live performance by The Blur? The Brits should be ashamed of themselves.

Many people immediately came to Adele's defense on Twitter, saying she should have been allowed to finish her speech. "I'd rather hear Adele's speech. That was a joke," singer Lily Allen tweeted.

"Who has the audacity to cut Adele off at an awards show? In London?," another tweeter said.

Even Corden, who was taking orders from producers, was sympathetic and reportedly tried to apologize to Adele. "I don't understand what happened but I'm upset about it," he told the Mirror. "Blur get to play for 11 minutes and she gets to say thank you once."
