As successful a song writer as she is international pop star, Sia penned mega Top 40 singles’ ‘Diamonds ‘ by Rihanna, ‘Let Me Love You‘ by Ne-Yo as well as hits for Beyonce, Britney Spears and Katy Perry.
Following suit to her last two hits, ‘Chandelier’ and ‘Elastic Heart’, Sia’s forthcoming single, ‘Alive’, was initially written for Adele (who ended up passing at the last minute). As result, Ms. Furler will move forward with the recording as her own, saying ‘It’s about [Adele’s] life, so I now sing a song from [Adele’s] perspective.”
The song will be out on September 26th on RCA Records and is the lead single from Sia’s upcoming album This Is Acting.
