Check Out Sam Smith's James Bond Theme for 'Spectre' In Full ...

The 24th James Bond movie, Spectre, is right around the corner looking to continue on the franchise-high success of Skyfall. Because somebody realized the Bond theme sells millions of copies, especially with a big name artist attached, it's now a huge deal when the song is released. This year it's Sam Smith performing the key track, “The Writing’s On The Wall", co-written and composed by the great Thomas Newman.

The track is now available to be listened to in full, and immediately it's hard to distinguish from Adele's "Skyfall". That begins to change once Smith begins singing, but at least for my ears there's nothing memorable about it, either. To be fair, it was always going to be tough following Adele and they may have been better served doing something completely different this time.

Spectre opens on November 6th.
