Castorious is a thriving Roman kingdom; plentiful in grapes, berries, wheat and cattle. The emperor, Maximus is self-centred, arrogant, easily offended and moody. But when it comes to his empire, he only means well.
Maximus has a top advisor, Quintus. They were childhood friends but Maximus was destined to be the emperor; afterall, his father had also once ruled over Castorious. Maximu suspects Quintus has betrayed his trust as somehow, the empire’s arch nemesis, Luciel, Emeror of Oasis Nepidus, managed to capture three key members of Maximus’ army.
Luciel and Maximus have a messy history. Once friendly rivals, the two went to school together, but when Maximus caught Luciel stealing sheep and goats from his father’s farm when they were fifteen, their relationship went downhill and it has been going down ever since.
