GanJah Records is a midwest(USA) reggae record company founded by Josh Heinrichs and his wife, Kaytee. Writing, recording, producing and marketing independent reggae albums worldwide since 2001. To date we have released albums for Jah Roots, Josh Heinrichs, SkillinJah, 77 Jefferson & Lance Sitton & The Seed.


GanJah Records founder Josh Heinrichs, was the former lead singer and songwriter of the reggae group, Jah Roots. Under GanJah, Jah Roots released 5 albums. The last 2 albums, "Crucial" and "Joy" both helped propel the band to a national level. The 2008 album "Joy" featured original Bob Marley & The Wailers Lead Guitar player, Junior Marvin on 2 songs, "Spliff & My Lady" & "Ganja Weed".


In 2010 GanJah released "Josh Heinrichs and Friends" to a #4 debut on USA iTunes Best Selling Reggae Albums. The albums also debuted on Amazon's Top 20 Best Selling Reggae Albums. For this album we had the fortune of working with a legendary & international roster of artists to build Josh's first full solo album. The list includes members of Bob Marley & The Wailers, Katchafire, Inna Vision, The Green and more...


On May 17, 2011 "Jah Roots" was released internationally on GanJah Records. The acoustically driven album that Heinrichs called "A collection of his favorite songs from the albums he wrote while in the band, Jah Roots" debuted as Amazon's #1 Hottest Selling Reggae Album & at #6 on iTunes(USA) Top 200 Best Selling Reggae Albums.


"Emergency Spliff" by former original Jah Roots deejay, SkillinJah and Josh Heinrichs officially debuted at #16 on iTunes Best Selling Reggae Albums on it's release Aug 16th 2011. The album was also chosen to be featured on the front page of iTunes Reggae as part of their "New & Noteworthy" section.


"Satisfied", Heinrichs 5th full-length album, was released October 18th, 2011. The album debuted at #3 on iTunes Top 200 Best Selling Reggae Albums and as Amazons #2 Hottest Selling Reggae Album. The album features 12 brand new tracks recorded with the help of a full backing band and features 3 guest appearances. SkillinJah, Josh's former Jah Roots bandmate joins Josh on 2 songs for this album, Rexie Adlawan of the Hawaiian reggae band, Inity Collective, joins Josh for his first ever duet with a female for the song "What Can I Do" and New Zealand roots artist, Regan Perry joins for the last tune "Cruisin" which ends the album with a nice chill New Zealand style reggae jam. The album is available digitally at all online retailers.


In early January 2012, GanJah Records announced it would be releasing, SkillinJah "Reality" on Jan 22nd 2012 to a full online digital release. Physical albums being available in later months.


On January 8th, the official music video for the first single "Skilla Dan Dem" from SkillinJah's 2nd album "Reality" was officially released.


SkillinJah "Reality" was released on Jan 22nd 2012, debuting at #6 on iTunes & Amazon's Top USA Reggae Albums.


The album received very favorable reviews from Reggaeville.com, TheDubSide.com & ThePier.org.


GanJah Records announced in late January, that it will be releasing the new Lance Sitton & The Seed album "Spread The Word" featuring guest appearances by Cas Haley, SkillinJah & Josh Heinrichs on April 22nd, 2012.


On Feb. 19th, 2012 GanJah Records officially debuted the Josh Heinrichs "Ganja" music video featuring SkillinJah. The video received over 2,000 plays in the first 24 hours of it's debut.


In early March a promo video for Lance Sitton & The Seed's new album "Spread The Word" was premiered.


On March 11th, 2012 GanJah Records announced the new 77 Jefferson album "Truth and Love" would be distributed by them. The album featuring guest appearances by Dan Kelly of Fortunate Youth as well as Ikena Dupont from the Hawaiian reggae band, Cease Fyah, is due out May 6th at all digital retailers.


On March 24th, the first official music video "Good Love Ft Josh Heinirchs & SkillinJah" for Lance Sitton and The Seed's "Spread The Word" album was released.


The music video for Lance Sitton and Cas Haley's song "Listen Friends" was released the day before the album came out, April 21st.


On April 22nd, Lance Sitton & The Seed's "Spread The Word" album officially debuted at #14 on the US iTunes Top 200 Best Selling Reggae Albums chart and at #8 on Amazon's Hot 100 Best Selling Reggae Albums.


On May 6th, 77 Jefferson's "Truth and Love" album officially debuted at #6 on the USA iTunes Top 200 Best Selling Reggae Albums chart and at #1 on Amazon's Best Selling Reggae Albums.


A traveling GanJah Records tour with The Josh Heinrichs Band, SkillinJah, 77 Jefferson & Lance Sitton has been announced for May 22nd - June 2nd from Missouri to California.
