This is such a fun film. I originally saw it advertised on the underground as a cross between Indiana Jones and Amelie. I can kind of see what they were trying to do there, but this is so original, I just don't think you can pigeon-hole it like that. Based on the Adele Blanc-Sec comic book series, the film tells the tale of adventuring author Adele who is in search of a mummy to...(well I don't want to give the game away!)
The film is funny, touching, extraordinary. It's also in French with English subtitles which doesn't bother me one bit (though my teenage experience working in a video shop tells me that some people do mind). Go watch it today!
