Adele Back With 21 At The Number One Spot In UK Album Charts
There's no stopping the talented singer Adele and her album 21 as she holds onto the number one position in the UK album charts with what has become this years biggest selling release.
The album has now spent 23 weeks at the number one spot and a total of 65 weeks in the album charts after dethroning Pink Friday Roman Reloaded by Nicki Minaj last week.
There seems to be no shortage of awards queuing up to be given to Adele as the album 21 was nominated for the Ivor Novello award for best album last Tuesday and her single Rolling In The Deep received the nomination for the best song both lyrically and musically. Her single Someone Like You has also received nominations.
Recently overtaking Brothers In Arms by Dire Straights as the best selling UK album Adele's 21 has now sold over 4,142,000 copies in the UK and more than 20 million copies worldwide.
In the UK album charts Love Is A Four Letter Word by Jason Mraz has moved into the number two position with Nicki Minaj and Pink Friday Roman Reloaded in third place just ahead of Born To Die by Lana Del Rey moving up to fourth spot.
Current coach and judge of the hit BBC programme The Voice Jessie J takes up fifth spot in the album charts with Who You Are.
