Because I spend hours beading I need something to watch while I'm doing it – so I don't lose my mind. My recent obsession is Ru Paul's Drag Race. I'm currently watching season 4 and so far it's my favourite. Why? Because SHARON NEEDLES IS IN IT!!! HOLY SHIT SHE'S BEAUTIFUL!!! I've never wanted to look more like a man/woman/drag superstar!!
I've said numerous times before that I don't look to the fashion industry for most of my inspiration. I think if you educate yourself too much on a certain creative subject you can lose that naivety that makes for great art -that passion and drive...the unknown. And eventually you'll just find yourself mimicking those around you. I want what I create to be an honest reflection of me. SO, I look to other areas for inspiration and it usually isn't stemmed from fashion. Today…Sharon Needles inspires me.
